Abstract
This is a gallery of archival photographs, some of which have never been published. They show the diverse scientific and promotional activities of the Varna Archaeological Society and its members during the lifetime of the VAS. The gallery contains a total of 40 photographs, arranged chronologically and thematically. They are taken from the scientific archive of the Varna Regional Museum of History (abbreviated in the article as РИМ – Варна, ф. ВАД), the Varna State Archive (abbr. as ДА – Варна) and the personal archive of Maria Hermova, Karel Škorpil’s granddaughter (abbr. as ЛА на М. Хермова).
