Abstract
Alexander Minchev has used both archaeological research and the collections of the Varna Archaeological Museum from the 20th and early 21st centuries to summarise the history of Odessos (present day Varna) in the province of (Lower) Moesia during the Roman Imperial period, including political and administrative structures and relations, urban and spatial planning, architectural spaces, organisation and nomenclature of handicrafts and trade, ethnic composition, religious beliefs, funeral rites, cultural events and entertainment.
